Have a look through some of our photos to see what we get up to

The Breakfast Service
The Breakfast Service takes place on the fourth Sunday of every month (except August and December) and everyone is welcome. We have a short informal service, often with an invited speaker, and break in the middle for a breakfast of bacon and sausage rolls, fried eggs and fresh coffee. Not bad for a church with no running water!

Bishop John's visit
We were absolutely delighted when Bishop John, the Bishop of Warwick, came to visit our Breakfast Service in 2019. Here he is demonstrating the original use of the shepherd's crook on a very patient 'sheep' Thomas!

Fun at the Falconry
During the 2019 summer holiday club, we visited the Falconry centre at Holdenby House. We had an amazing day finding out about different birds of prey, meeting Pedro the American Burrowing Owl and Nigel the Harris Hawk. All the children had a chance to fly the harris hawk and some to hold a barn owl. We then had a chance to view the collection of reptiles and insects, holding an enormous snake and various other creatures.

The Breakfast Service goes online!
In March 2020, when the first lockdown started, like many churches we were faced with working out how we could 'do church' when we weren't allowed to meet together. After a lot of hard work and a very steep learning curve, we used Facebook to show a short pre-recorded service at our usual time on a Sunday morning. Then in the Facebook comments, we were able to say hello and post photos of our breakfasts. Not quite the same as being together, but not bad! The services were also available to view on our website. The services proved to be very popular and it was lovely to be able to connect with people who wouldn't normally come into church or who are too far away to visit regularly.

St Mark's in the sunshine
Our lovely church in the sunshine. We're situated right in the heart of the village, just up and across from the Village Hall. The church is open most days so if you're passing, do feel free to pop in and have a look.

Our new ceiling
The new church ceiling - very generous donations enabled us to repair and repaint it.

Kids' trip to JumpIn
Some of the children enjoying lunch after our 2019 trip to the JumpIn trampoline park in Leamington.

Christmas Bauble Appeal
Rather than sending lots of Christmas cards to all our village friends and neighbours, Diane and Laura set up the Christmas Baubles fundraiser. For a small donation to a nominated charity, villagers can write their Christmas message on a bauble and hang it on the railings. In the past four years, we've raised over £600!

Christmas Nativity
The crib scene comes out every year in the run up to our Carol Service. This one was made by a local ceramicist specially for us after she came and ran a pottery activity at our children's holiday club

Epiphany panel
Our beautiful Three Kings panel, lovingly made by Lynn from the village.

Big Breakfast
Every year we organise the Big Breakfast, taking over the Village Hall to cook a full English Breakfast for the village. It's great fun and a good chance for everyone to catch up, but hard work for our chefs, Sara and Jane!

Snowdrops in the churchyard
Beautiful snowdrops in the churchyard behind the church herald the arrival of spring.
